Chicken Cafreal

Ingredients

1 Kg Chicken, Cut into Medium Pieces
2 Medium Sized Onions, Cut into Semicircles
1 Tomato, Cut into cubes
Oil as required
3 Tbsps Vinegar or 2 Limes
1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt as per taste
Cafreal Masala as required
Water as per requirement

Servings / Time

Serves 8 / 45 Minutes

Preparation

1. Marinate the chicken with salt, turmeric powder and 1 Cup of Cafreal Masala, Add some vinegar or lime if required as per your taste.

2. Heat a non stick vessel oil. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions. As the onions turn translucent, add the tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes get mushy.

3. Add the marinated chicken pieces and fry on a medium high flame for around 10 minutes until oil oozes out.

5. Add some water around half cup, close the lid and allow the masala to cook along with the chicken pieces.

6. Check if chicken is cooked by poking a fork. If ready, keep the cooking lid open and thicken the gravy based on the consistency that you desire.

7. I have made a semi dry gravy. Once ready serve hot with rice or rotis or parathas.
