Preparation
1. Marinate the beef pieces by adding salt, ginger garlic paste, vinegar or lime and turmeric powder. Mix well and leave aside for marination.
2. As the beef marination takes place, we can start making the paste or masala for cooking the beef. Keep the cloves, cinnamon, peppercorns aside along with cumin seeds, chopped tomatoes, onion and coriander leaves.
3. Add all the above ingredients to a mixer and add around 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water to form a nice thick paste. Add salt here if needed.
4. Now take a pressure cooker, place it on a medium flame, add oil as required. Once the oil is hot, add red chillies first, then add the marinated beef. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
5. Finally add the blended paste. Mix the beef well along with the paste. Add salt if needed. See that there is enough water in level with the beef. If not add more water as needed.
6. Now close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook the beef on a medium high flame for 20 minutes. Once cooked for 20 minutes, keep the cooker aside for 10 minutes. Check if the beef is cooked.
7. Once ready serve hot with rice.
