Preparation
1. In a bowl add one cup of oats, half cup of semolina, break an egg and add along with required amount of salt, one cup of water and allow this mixture to soak for about 30 minutes. Also add Baking Soda to this mixture and keep aside.
2. As the above mixture is kept aside, wash the tomato, chilies and curry leaves well. Chop the onion, tomato, curry leaves, garlic and ginger fine and keep aside in a plate along with cumin powder, coriander powder and pepper powder.
3. After the mixture has been soaked, add all the above contents from the plate into the bowl containing the mixture of oats, egg and semolina. Mix all the contents well. If the batter is too thick, more water can be added.
4. Now add oil to a small pan. Heat the oil. Once the oil is hot, add considerate amount of batter to the pan and smear the batter all round the pan to get a nice thick pancake.
5. Fry on both sides until golden brown. Serve hot with curds.
