Squids Masala

Ingredients

30 Squids, Cut into ringlets
2 Strands Curry Leaves
1 Medium Sized Tomato, Cut into fine pieces
1 Tbsp Curd
1 and 1/2 Tbsp Tamarind Paste
1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Tsp Recheado Masala
1/4 Tsp Pepper Powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tsp Coriander Leaves, Finely Chopped
1 Medium Sized Chili, Finely Chopped
1/2 Tsp Salt or More as required
2 Tbsps Oil

Preparation

Squids Masala - The Ingredients
1. Clean the squids neatly so as to separate the tentacles from the body. Wash thoroughly well after cleaning.

2. Cut the squids into ringlets, also cut the tentacles fine. Marinate this by adding curd, tamarind paste, recheado masala, ginger garlic paste, salt, pepper, and turmeric. Keep aside for 15 - 20 minutes.

3. Now chop the tomato and chili into fine pieces, keep coriander leaves and curry leaves ready.

4. Take a pan, heat oil in the pan, once the pan is hot, add the curry leaves, once you get an aroma from the leaves add chili pieces and then the tomato. Saute this mixture for 2 minutes.

5. Now add the marinated squids, sprinkle the coriander leaves. Close the pan with a lid and allow to cook, as the squids are getting cooked they ooze out water.

6. Cook till some of the water has dried leaving a little gravy. Enjoy the squids' masala nice and hot.

Serve hot with bread, chapathis or rice.
