Crouton Curd Mayonnaise Salad

Crouton Curd Mayonnaise Salad is a combination of curd and mayonnaise as a paste using croutons, tomatoes and onions seasoned with some oregano and a dash of olive oil to increase its richness.

The combination of curd and mayonnaise forms a nice creamy thick paste. The taste is a mixture of sweet and sour, very suitable for a salad dressing. Along with tomatoes, onions, and croutons, the addition of olives would have enhanced the taste further. If you do have olives you can try adding them in this salad to improve its taste. 

The croutons add to the crunchiness of the salad. As you know croutons are toasted bread cubes. These can be made at home by cutting bread into strips and then into small cubes. These cubes can then be added to an oven and toasted at 180 degrees centigrade to form crunchy croutons. These croutons can then be added to glass jars when cooled and used as and when needed. Croutons are best used in salads and soups or can be had plain as a crunchy snack.

Crouton Curd Mayonnaise Salad

Ingredients

1 Medium Sized Tomato
1 Medium Sized Onion
A Handful of Croutons
2 Tbsps Curd
2 Tbsps Mayonnaise
A Pinch of Salt
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Oregano for Seasoning

Preparation

Crouton Curd Mayonnaise Salad
1. Chop tomato and onion into fine cubes. In a bowl mix them together along with the addition of salt. Set the bowl aside.

2. Take another bowl, add two tablespoons of fresh curd and mayonnaise each, Mix well to form a nice creamy paste. Add olive oil to the white creamy paste and mix well.

3. Now add the croutons along with the chopped tomato and onion cubes into the bowl containing the creamy white paste of curd and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly well.

4. Sprinkle some oregano and serve cold.
