Preparation
1. In a bowl add the wheat flour along with baking powder and mix thoroughly well.
2. In another bowl melt the strawberry compound in a microwave for around 3 minutes or use the double boiler method to melt the strawberry compound. Add 100 gms of butter to the bowl of the melted strawberry compound. Mix well using an electric mixer.
Please note Sugar has not been added since the strawberry compound contains sugar.
3. Break 2 eggs and beat them well in a bowl. Now add the beaten eggs to the mixture of butter and strawberry compound.
4. Add the dry mixture of flour and baking powder alternately with the milk to the bowl of butter, strawberry compound, and eggs. Mix well with an electric mixer or with a spatula to form a nice smooth batter.
5. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees centigrade. Grease a 9 x 2 inch round Baking Cake Tin with butter. Pour the batter into the round Baking Cake Tin. Cut 4 large strawberries into thick slices and add them to the top of the batter, slightly pressed inside the batter. Now pour a tablespoon of honey over the strawberries.
6. Now adjust the oven to 150 degrees centigrade. Cover the baking tin with an aluminum lid and add it to the oven. Bake for around 40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
7. Once ready, allow the cake to cool. Take off the cake from the baking tin by scraping off the sides with a knife and overturning the tin and gently letting the cake come off onto the plate. Cut slices and serve.
