Recheado Stuffed Pomfret Fry

Ingredients

1 Big or Medium Sized Pomfret Fish
2 - 3 Tbsp Recheado Masala
Salt to Taste
Oil as per requirement

Servings / Time

1 or 2 Servings / 20 minutes

Preparation

1. Clean the fish well, remove the scales if any, cut off the fins and cut slit open just below the head to take off the innards. Do not cut off the head.

2. Wash the pomfret after cleaning, slit the flesh open on either side of the fish bone as in the image.

3. Salt the Pomfret and add the Recheado Masala as a stuffing into the slits on either sides of the fish bone.

4. Keep the pomfret aside for a few minutes.

5. Now take a pan, add 2 Tablespoons of Oil more can be added if needed. Heat the Oil by keeping the flame on medium. Please note the oil has to be hot enough before adding the fish or else the fish may get stuck to the pan.

6. Once the oil is hot, add the Pomfret, fry on both sides well till the fish is cooked and a nice brown colour is seen on either sides of the fish on frying.

7. Serve hot with rice with some lime and onion salad.

8. This tastes really spicy and tangy. My Mouth Waters.
