Mackerel Fry with Green Masala Stuffing

Ingredients

4 Mackerels
1 Medium Sized Onion
Salt as per taste
Green Coriander Chili Masala
Rava or Semolina as per requirement
Oil as per requirement

Preparation

1. Clean the mackerels, cut off the head and fins and remove the inner organs. Wash them clean, slit the flesh open on either sides of the fish bone as in the picture.

2. Salt the fish and keep separately, now cut the onion into small pieces. Heat a pan with oil, add the onion.

3. Once the onion has been caramelized, add the Green Coriander Chili Masala to the pan and fry for a while till the mixture thickens.

4. Allow the mixture to cool, now stuff the mackerel with the Green Coriander Chili Masala on either sides of the fish bone.

5. Dip both sides of the fish into rava or semolina.

6. Now again heat a pan with oil and add the fish.

7. Fry the fish till the fish has been cooked from within. Fry the fish on both sides till it turns a nice light brown color. The flame should be kept on medium so that the mackerels get cooked from within.

8. Serve hot with rice.
