Soya Green Masoor Dal (Masoor Dal with Soya Chunks and Green Leafy Vegetable)
Ingredients
3 Tbsp Masoor Dal
8 Soya Chunks
4 - 5 Spinach or Vauchi Bhaji (Malabar Spinach) Leaves, Cut Fine
1 Onion, Chopped
1 Tomato, Chopped
1 Green Chili, Slit
1 Tbsp Spicy, Sweet and Sour Garlic Paste or Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 Tsp Turmeric
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 Tsp Jeera or Cumin Seeds
Salt to taste
Water as required
2 Tbsp Oil
8 Soya Chunks
4 - 5 Spinach or Vauchi Bhaji (Malabar Spinach) Leaves, Cut Fine

1 Tbsp Spicy, Sweet and Sour Garlic Paste or Ginger Garlic Paste

1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 Tsp Jeera or Cumin Seeds
Salt to taste
Water as required
2 Tbsp Oil
Servings / Time
5 Persons / 45 Minutes
Preparation
1. Boil the dal separately along with the soya chunks.
2. Once boiled add the soya chunks along with the green leaves into a blender to form a paste.
3. Add oil to a vessel, heat the oil on medium flame.
4. Once the oil is hot add the mustard seeds and jeera seeds.
5. Once the mustard seeds crackle, add onion, chili, Spicy, Sweet and Sour Garlic Paste or Ginger Garlic Paste, turmeric and garam masala.
6. Then add the above paste of soya and green leaves. Mix well.
7. Now add tomato. Cook for a minute.
8. Finally add the dal along with water and boil for around 5 - 10 minutes with a closed lid.
9. Serve hot with chapatis
