Palak Paneer

Ingredients

2 Bundles of Palak (Spinach)
1 Packet of Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
2 Tablespoons of Oil
20 pods of Garlic
1 Small Piece of Ginger
1 Tablespoon Coriander Seeds
1/4 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon of Cardamom
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Turmeric
1 Teaspoon Pepper
1 Tomato
1 Onion
2 Cups of Water
1/2 Cup of Fresh Cream / Milk
3- 4 Tablespoon of Curd
1 Cube Cheese

Servings / Time

6 people / 1 Hour

Preparation

1. Chop the Palak leaves into small strips and add to the blender along with half cup of water to make a thick green paste. Side by side chop onion and tomato into fine pieces

2. Add the garlic pods, ginger, coriander seeds, cinnamon and cardamom into a blender and make a fine paste by adding a Tablespoon of water.

3. Heat a vessel with oil, add the above paste of coriander along with the onion, turmeric powder and pepper. Once onion is soft , add tomato cook till soft.

4. Now add the paste of palak to the above, let it boil for 5 minutes, then add 1 and a half cup of water boil for another 10 minutes.

5. Add curd and fresh cream to the above and mix well, till you get a thick gravy.

6. Cut paneer into cubes and add to the mixture. Boil for 5 minutes and add salt as per taste. Garnish with some pieces of cheese. Serve hot.
